Ticket and Box Office FAQs

Can I have reserved seats?

Seating is general admission at the Bowie Playhouse. A seating reservation can and should be made only if a member of your group needs to remain in a wheelchair for the duration of the performance. Please reach out to us at boxoffice@2ndstarproductions.org to make your wheelchair requirements are noted to our House Manager and we can prepare your seating accordingly.

Can I exchange my tickets?

Ticket exchanges may be accommodated with at least 24 hours notice before your performance time. Please request ticket exchanges no later than 24 hours in advance of your performance by emailing us at boxoffice@2ndstarproductions.org. We can usually make an exchange to another performance that has seats available. We cannot make exchanges into a sold out performance and cannot exchange tickets less than 24 hours in advance of a performance. Our ticket capacity is limited, each ticket sale is important to our small non-profit budget, and we need advance notice to fill any empty seats.

Can I have a refund on my tickets?

Ticket purchases are non-refundable. Refunds are granted in the case of a cancelled performance only. In the event of a cancelled performance, you will be contacted by 2nd Star regarding refund or exchange options.

I missed the show. Can I exchange for a different performance or receive a refund?

We’re unable to issue refunds or exchanges in the event of a missed performance.

When is the Box Office open?

Our Box Office is not open in person unless there is a performance that day at the Bowie Playhouse. On show days, the Box Office opens one hour prior to the performance (at 7pm for 8pm shows and 1pm for 2pm shows).

Can I put tickets on hold and pay for them later?

We do not offer a reserved or held ticket option. All tickets must be paid for at the time of purchase using a credit or debit card online. In-person ticket sales at the theater can be paid for by cash or credit/debit card.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes, ticket orders that include 10 or more tickets for any performance will automatically receive a discounted group ticket rate. Group tickets should be purchased through the normal ticketing purchase flow using a credit or debit card for payment.
